The Experience

A Feast for the Senses

We cherish the personal connections we make with our discerning guests. To maintain the pristine environment of our 210-acre ranch, we are open for tastings only on Saturday afternoons. A member of our staff will greet you upon arrival and guide you to one of our shaded patios, or into our Tasting Barn. We offer rotating wine-tasting flights, designed to educate guests about terroir and clonal variation. Those who wish to linger may order wines by the glass or bottle.

The Tasting Barn

Our Gallery of Curios

Our founder, Dan Lester, was a passionate scholar of world history and cultures with a lifelong fascination for exploration. He collected artifacts such as dugout canoes, arrowheads, insects, and masks during thrilling expeditions ranging from South Africa to the Amazon. His sustainably sourced treasures offer glimpses into this planet’s rich tapestry of natural wonders and artistic traditions. We invite you to explore our Tasting Barn, which respectfully displays Dan’s remarkable collection.

The Ranch

A Picturesque Nature Preserve

Our park-like ranch has been meticulously reestablished to a natural state of splendor. For thousands of years, our bioregion was inhabited by the Aptos, an Awaswas-speaking tribe of the Ohlone people. Later, cattle ranching and the timber industry transformed the landscape. Our vision was to restore native plants and trees, and provide habitat for wildlife. We take pride in sharing this exquisite setting.

Picnics

Book A spot, Bring a Basket

Throughout the year, we invite you to reserve a table or a spot on our Vineyard View Lawn, where you may unpack your picnic basket and savor our handcrafted wines over lunch. Your $100 deposit (waived for Safari Club Members) goes toward your wine purchase. And while we are not able to offer food from our tasting room, we often host special catered events. Follow our Events page or join our Mailing List for updates.
